The Learning Tree Academy makes use of The Funshine Express Curriculum in providing meaningful instruction to the children. Each curriculum is aptly matched with the programs offered, corresponding to the appropriate age group.
Infants and Toddlers
Children from 6 months to 3 years of age are given the Buttercups curriculum. Buttercups aims to foster the development of the child’s gross and motor skills in the early years of life. It is an active curriculum that places children in structured activities involving fun and sensorial learning, allowing them to move their fingers, practice their reflexes, and interact with physical experiences while incorporating pieces of information from their surroundings. Apart from sensorial activities, the Buttercups curriculum also trains the children to develop their cognitive spirits, considering the rapid growth of the child’s brain in the young years. It also serves the early foundation for social orientation, as well as for music and language development.
Preschoolers
The Fireflies curriculum is given to preschool-age children, 3 to 5 years old. It is a high-quality, professionally-designed preschool curriculum that prepares children to learn the skills, learning tools, and motivation they need to face the monumental challenges of the formal school setting. The Fireflies curriculum makes use of various direct and contrived learning experiences that are aligned with specific learning standards and competencies. However, this doesn’t mean that your child will be faced with rigid school activities. In fact, the curriculum uses play approach and exercises that stimulate natural curiosity, which is characteristic of children in this age group.
After School and Summer Camp
Our kids are having so much fun with the Jitterbugs! Designed to squeeze the most out of dragging, intermittent hours, or drastic summer days hooked in front of computer screens, Jitterbugs offers your child/ren a new way to define learning – even outside of school!
The Jitterbugs is provided to children from 6 years to 12 years of age. It promotes physical development, cognitive development, creative expression, and social/emotional development among others. Children learn to engage in both individual and group tasks without difficulty, but still with the thrill of a challenge, and come out fulfilled and with added positive self-power through the guidance of our staff. There will be more games and creative, child-directed activities to enjoy!
